In November the main equipment including two jack-ups (Aarsleff III and Aarselff V), cranes, earthmoving- and piling- equipment, 288 pipe piles for the jetty, pipe piles and sheet piles for the 400 meter combi walls and sheet piles for some 215 meter retaining walls departed by special cargo vessel, the Da Fu of Panama (Big Lift), from Denmark and the Netherlands.

St. Maarten Port Expansion Project
Today Dutch Ballast Nedam, in joint venture with Danish Per Aarsleff, signed the contract with the Sint Maarten Harbour Holding Company for the construction of a new 450 meter long and 20 meter wide Mega Cruise jetty, reclamation of a Cruise Terminal area, the extension of the existing Cargo Terminal with 250 meter quaywall, a roll-on roll-off facility, and a breakwater to protect the new facilities.
Lievense Engineering of Breda, the Netherlands, were appointed by the Client for the design and supervision of the project.
